Optimizing Google Business Profile SEO: Local Rankings

[00:00:01]hey guys what's up I missed this site again and I'm back with another Banger video so in this video I'm gonna talk about how to rank a Google business profile from scratch this video may be a bit lengthy but would be very valuable so I would highly suggest to close every other tab Focus only on this one and start taking notes don't be the guy that just watches everything take actions right now so ready to get started let's Dive In here are the things that majorly affects GMB ranking this is a study done by white spark and I pretty much agree with almost everything you could take a screenshot as well if you wanna have a look again later on okay first thing first let's talk about optimizing the Google business profile in this one we're gonna find the right category and then the right service for our business so let's start with the right category first of all install prepper Chrome extension or GMB everywhere Chrome extension as it will help us to know the categories of a business profile to find your relevant category just go to Google Maps and search for your primary key but for instance plumber St Louis this is uh just an example you have to search your own your own keyword right now this rule will show me the primary keyword and secondary sorry primary category and the secondary categories that my competitors who are already ranking are using here you can see that right uh this this is one of my competitor who is using plumber we need service water damage restoration service and then water softening equipment supplier I'll I'll check another you know I'll check two or three other competitors as well and then I'll just you know copy and paste all of those in a in our sheet that I have already added here you could just create it on your own it's very simple right so you could add the primary category here and then secondary categories here okay now now the second thing we want to do is finding the right Services right so do this same search again but on the google.com because Google Maps is not gonna show you all the services okay just go on google.com and search for the same plumber saying close thing and I will see a service section up here you see so if you are searching for any other keyword for instance roofer uh you know XYZ City you will find the same thing uh just like that okay just click on services and Google is gonna give you a lot of service uh services that this particular GM is using and we want to copy all of this and then we will be you know pasting this in our sheet okay so here you go you can see that this is a very informational and very valuable uh knowledge that you know Google is directly giving us okay so once we are done with that now we have Optimizer GMB it's time to optimize our website okay remember we are just doing the on page now and I'll talk about off page later on in this video so now we are going to optimize the page associated with the GMB here's what I mean when I say page associated with the gym this is the URL that I mean okay so you would have a URL uh within your GMB profile and just click up on that URL and then we will you know optimize that particular URL because that is the thing uh from where Google pulls most of the data Okay so let's see how to optimize it okay this is one of the location page or you could say you know a page that I saw and that I have worked with and this is a pretty good uh SE optimized location page okay so what we exactly want let me quickly sum it up okay first thing we want our primary keyword to be in each one then H2 then H3 and then zip codes and then map embeds and the services with internal link you can see that this particular website has already done you know uh their each one they have added their keyword in their each one you could see this here okay this is their each one as I have already seen earlier and then they have already done the other very important thing that is you know uh link internal internal linking their service pages from your from their home page okay they have linked up from here from here as well and if you see one thing they have you know used an anchor text that is very keyword rich and this is a secret that I would like to tell all of you when you're internal linking you're you know in inner pages from your home page or from your location page make sure that your using the anchor text the ones that you know as the ones which you would like to rank for okay for instance you would like to rank for trimming XYZ City you have to use that particular anchor text gotcha now other thing that I want to do that I want you to do is listing all these Services service areas you're serving okay this is a very great strategy to internal link uh you know other uh service Pages as well and then very next thing that I would like to you to do is having a map embed within your location or within your city sorry or homepage okay whatever you are using and then the very last thing is listing all the zip codes you are serving within that page okay this is very important don't ignore this now let's talk about other very important thing in ranking a GMB it's a review so we have two parts for dinner reviews first getting more reviews and second replying to them let's talk about getting it first see many of the business owners I talk have one issues their customers ain't leaving reviews even though they are sending them automated emails so what I would suggest instead is giving every single customer a physical business card with a QR code that will lead them to your business review page here's an example of what I mean this could be a game changer for a business just one more note when you hand them a business card ask them politely to include the city name and what service they use as this location and the primary service gonna increase your rankings for that service in that City I hope that's making sense now let's talk about the second part that is replying to reviews so I have a template here that you could use to reply your customers just fill in the blanks and you're good to go here's an ideal review reply see thank you for choosing Dash company name for your dash to page two of Google in most of the cases and maybe eight to ten rank in a mile radius in gme but you will need to but you will need authority to be on the map pack and the page one so now let's talk about backlinks first and then we'll go into map a bit for the people who don't know what backlink is it's basically a link from other websites to your site first kind of backlink we'll need is Citation citations are very important ones in local SEO so basically citations are the mention of your name address and phone number from uh directory site to your business for instance mention of your mention of your business in Yelp or in G's list gotcha now you can easily create it let me quickly show you how to create one okay just open a directory website for instance I've opened openg.us and you you'll find an option to create a free listing just click click on that and you will get an option to fill up all the business information you just you will just have to you know fill all those information for instance description uh owner name and all those information and then you have to wait uh it hardly takes you know 24 to 48 hours to get it approved and then you will get your citation life okay and I will also leave a link to download some of the high authoritative and trustable citations I also shared it in the uh in one of my past videos but yeah I'll share it again but it's such this task and your time may be worth more than spending two hours and creating 10 or 20 of them so just go to the service and purchase it and my team will take care rid of it right uh you can hire someone else as well that's not an issue but it all comes down to the Quality ones and or the quantity right now the very next one I want you to have is press release it's working great at the moment and I don't want you to ignore this one purchase it from any seller you know or any of the ones that I'm gonna mention in this video so I'm basically gonna just um I'm gonna mention only one of uh it and it's by Randy I know him personally and he's a great guy when it comes to you know a PRN all those uh brand stuff okay so you could just get this one from legend.com and yeah it's definitely a good investment okay so the very next one I want you to have is social media link just you know go through social media website like Facebook Instagram LinkedIn YouTube and so on and sign up with your business email also in most of the cases social media platforms have one option to add a link to your website so make sure to do that because we want that juice to pass to our website right see these links are very authoritative and these are trustables trustable in the eyes of Google so make sure you are getting this as these are the foundational links now we need map embeds map emits is basically embedding your gme map on a website it may be yours and maybe of someone else as well you could get some map embeds from you know Web 2.0 websites or pbn or me or you could also get it from you know from a guest post or those kind of uh you know those kinds of Link but guest post map embeds and all those other ones that's gonna carry the most with gonna be expensive it's not gonna be free and neither it's gonna be cheap if you're purchasing a quality one okay but yeah you could also get some app embeds from PR just I'll just ask your you know PR guy if he's providing my permit and yeah just choose that Pier Okay so you could get some map emits from Web 2.0 websites as well that I said that I said they are super easy to get but the key here is to get all of those indexed not all but most of them okay which is the most hard task that comes into action right see if you have a brand new Web 2.0 it's not gonna be indexed so easily still need an old one that has some trust and Authority all alternatively you could get Web 2.0 on your own and then submit them to index Source indexers like you know Omega this might not index 100 of them but would be able to next you know 40 or 50 percent of them in most of the cases here's an example of what I mean by a map member see it's a you know uh here's an example of a map embed I did this one for one of my client and it's just one of the map embed from 250 of them okay here's an example we have we have a good article here and then at the end of the article we have name address phone number and then I'm remembered this is how an ideal map image should look like okay now Additionally you could purchase other kind of links as well for instance guest post links or you know nature did links I do have one
